DISTRICT EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE (DEIC)
The District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC) plays a critical role in guiding planning and decision-making related to the following areas outlined in state statute:
- Staff Development
- School Context and Organization
Each campus has representatives on the committee who provide a 'voice' for their respective campus and staff. The goal is to ensure that all aspects of decision-making are systemic and ultimately improve student performance and accountability at all levels of the organization.
The DEIC is instrumental in ensuring that SISD is on target to realize all established goals, performance objectives, and maintain a culture of excellence.
DEIC meetings have been scheduled throughout the year; two in the Fall and two in the Spring. We encourage parents, families, community members and businesses to stay connected and involved. Your voice is our strength, and together, we will ensure that every Somerset ISD student is college, career, and citizenship ready.
