Student Meal Charge Policy
 
Students who have not retured a completed lunch application were allowed to exceed the 3-day charge limit from the first day of school, August 24, 2009.  Letters have been sent home to parent stating the charges accrued on their child's account.  All students who have exceeded the 3-day charge limit will be offered a sandwich and milk for lunch beginning on Monday, September 14, 2009.  All charges on meal accounts are the responsibilty of the parent(s) to pay off as quickly as possible.

Every year parents are required to complete and return one application per household for their childen to be eiligble for free or reduced cost meals.

STUDENT MEAL CHARGE POLICY

Students will be allowed to charge up to 3-days on account.  The following steps will be taken when a student charges a meal on account.

FIRST CHARGE
1. Student will be asked to being money the following day to cover their meal charge.

SECOND CHARGE
1. The cashier will remind the student of the charges and hand the student a blue envelope and ask them to bring money the following day.

THIRD CHARGE
1. The cashier will remind the student of the charge(s) and ask them to bring money the following day.  The cashier will remind the student that if they do not have lunch money the following day, they will be offered a sandwich and milk for lunch.

STUDENTS EXCEEDING THE 3-DAY CHARGE LIMIT
1, The student will be offered a sandwich and milk.

2. Notice letters are sent home to parents with the students every Wednesday informing them of negative charge balances.  Student charge balances are submitted to each campus Principal on a monthly basis.
